6 Things You Can Do to Increase Your Revenue Right Now
With things starting to open back up in Regional Victoria now is the time to start actively marketing your business.
But where do you start?
Here’s a handful of tried and true ideas you can launch with very little investment or effort and kick start your business quickly.
Create a new product or package
Can you create an offer to suit what people are looking for right now? Do you need to restructure your pricing to suit things like government grants being accessed? Is there are new product you can easily add to your range to give you something to talk about?
Look for a new market
Sometimes who you think your customers are isn’t necessarily who they actually are. Look for those who you haven’t sold to before or don’t typically market to but would have a use for your product. They may even see your value proposition very differently to how you generally position it or use what you do in a totally new way, so you may need to tweak your messaging and that’s okay. Do some test campaigns through social media, influencer marketing or direct sales and learn as you go.
Update your website
Have you checked out where you rank on Google results beyond simply searching for your business name? Can your potential customer easily find you and once they do is it easy to work out what you are all about? Tweaking your website, the copy, images or structure doesn’t need to mean an entirely new website. It is quite easy and fast to learn the basics (check out Kate Toon’s free SEO Nibbles course - it’s brilliant!) and not a hugely expensive exercise to have someone improve what is there. It’s worth a look!
Say Thank You to existing customers
It’s always cheaper to keep a customer than get a new one. The existing investment in product or offer understanding and brand awareness can’t be understated. How about reminding them of how valuable they are to you? It could be as simple of a discounted offer exclusive to them or gifting a bottle of wine as a cheers to surviving 2020. Give them a little love and remind them you are on their side!
Give away free information
Give away a little free info, guidance or advice that you know will be of value to your customer base on social media or via email. It will drive loyalty, increase followers and generate pipeline. The pandemic has shown us all the fragility of humanity, and really brought things back to simple kindnesses. Extend this kindness to your current and future customer base, both to give a taste of the value you can provide, and also to put some good juju into the world. You may have to do a series of posts and give a little bit away at a time but stick with it. It’s a proven technique!
